Hi there, I'm new to this forum and am looking for info on a 2001 Exp. Sport Tr. 4x4 system. I'm on my 2nd Explorer (the previous mentioned) and my 1st was a 94' XLT 4 door, bought it new and keep it 17 years. I only had it in a repair shop twice in all that time the rest I did myself, from changing the trans fluid and filter to installing stainless steel headers and exhaust. Anyway I've sold that and now have the 01' Spt Tr and am working on the the 4x4 system. I'm 98 percent sure it's an electrical problem before the transfer motor, either the dash switch or the module or both, all related fuses are good as well as the the one in the power dist box. For starters does anyone know where the 4x4 module is located and what it looks like? Also where can I find a good online service manual?
