2001 radio swap...

..Any clue if the factory stereo from 2001 mustang (single cd/cassette) will fit and or work in a 2001 Ex, that has a single cd?

I think it might.Is there two places on the sides to put the extractors to pull it out of dash.?If yes ,it will work.
I put a 2001 in my 99X because thats the year they finnally fixed the bad solder joints.It has a different color face ,but identical radio.
I got so mad trying to fix the solder joints a million times,that I bought a brand new 2001 radio on e-bay for $150.and have been a happy camper for the last two years.Mine was the external 6CD model. I wish I kept all the research I did,than I could tell you definatly.
Should be --18C868GA series,I think last two letters are face color

Thanks I will have to look, wife has the Mustang all the time.. and wants a different stereo in it, My Sport has single CD, want the cassette, for I can use one of those Casssette/MP3 adapter units.
