The Ford Dealer ran a test on my truck. Says I have to replace my PCM, & ECM. Can anyone give me the location of these items and tell me if they can be interchanged with a 2003 model as I have a wrecked one.
Thanks

The PCM and ECM are 2 names for the same part. It is under the hood in a slot in the passenger side of the firewall. Why do you think you need to replace it?
The 2003 PCM does not have controls for the EGR system on your 2001. Other than that, it will probably run the truck as long as it is for the same engine displacement and transmission type.
