I have a 2001 sport trac and went to clean it out today to find my driver side floor is soaked i checked the passenger and rear and its only in the driver side i checked the cowls with a garden hose and they are clear.. the water does smell like condensation water but it also rained this morning so its hard to say.. it could be my windshield as well considering its the stock windshield.. i would like to narrow it down by checking the ac drain if someone could point me in the right direction were it would be.. it would be greatly appreciated

I'm pretty sure the A/C drain is outside of the cab; have you checked the sunroof drain lines?

This thread should help (for an older model X but still applies: leaking sunroof

The A/C drain is on the passenger side, not the driver's side. It can become clogged, but that would get the passenger side floor wet. Do you have a sunroof? Our '00 Mountaineer had a wicked water leak on the driver's side that kept the driver's side floor sopping wet one Winter. I couldn't find where the water was getting in. This past Summer I noticed that there was a pretty big gap on the plastic around the windshield at the roof channel/grove. I filled in the gap with silicon, not expecting much, but ii's rained A LOT here all Winter and the floor has remained completely dry... IDK not a pretty repair, but it seems to have worked.

The sunroof. if you have one, has 4 drains (2 in the "A" pillars and 2 in the "B" pillars) that can become clogged and can even pull off the plastic tray they attach too.
