I drive a 2001 XLT AWD and I just recently fixed my door windows, but the rear doors dont open from the inside, people have told me its because the child lock doesnt turn off even when i turn the switch off.. is this why? is there a fix to this? :(

If the outside handle works but not the inside most likely your handle is broken and this is fairly common. Does your inner handle sit flush like all the others or is it stuck out some? if it is stuck out a little then it is broken for sure. it is a plastic part and the gear mechanism breaks off and will let it slip. go to a junk yard and get a replacement. if fact while you are there get several:)

Actually that sounds about right.. One of them I know for a fact is broken and the other I wasnt sure about, i guess i gotta take a trip to the junk yard this weekend.. thanks

That was a big problem. We sold a ton of those things. If it is not the latch then it is these. We did more of these then latches. But we did do latches to. I would get new they are kinda cheap and it is possible to break them very easy trying to get the junk yard ones out.
