Here is the stock engine bay
Take the cover and stock intake off. The airbox is fairly easy to remove if you remove the filter and spray all 5 rubber grommets with a little wd-40. Then stand by the fender on the pass side and pull up and out from the drivers side of the box. It will surprisingly pop out very easily.
And here it is out on a cart.
I ordered it from explorer express this week on wednesday and it arrived on thursday.WOW!
everything fits ever so snugly.
here it is all finished.
Before install, accellerating to get on the freeway was almost silent. Now you can really hear the V8 under the hood under accelleration, but just cruisin freeway or taking it easy in town it is still almost silent.
I very much recommend this product. The SOTP dyno is much improved low and midrange, and a little up top. The shipping was amazing(especially it being xmas and all). Price was 179.99 from Explorer Express 200.05 or so with shipping, regular ground. Its all polished stainless steel and blue silicone. The filter is of the oiled variety, but the oval design has alot more surface area then just a round design.
EDIT:I tried like 5 different ways to post the pics but this is the best I could do. If someone could please fix it, thanks.
