hey guys! my expo is starting to act a little crazy... When im riding at constant speed then WOT, to get a jump on traffic or something like that, my truck pulls super hard and quickly to the right. (almost pulling me out of the lane) I have to constatly countersteer when its accel-ing. Its the 4.6 with automatic 4x4. It stopped doing it for awhile, then i got fresh oil in it yesterday and idk if i fogot the feeling from before, but it feels like its doing it excedingly more than it used to.

Any parts i should look for wear or anything obviously broken i need to fix?

Thanks!

J

balljoints, springs, bushings, tow-links. Id check the rear suspension first. How many miles do you have?

its got 130k. i have racho quick lift struts on the front. and stock in the back. i put new ball joints on it when i got the coil spacers. all my suspension is tight still. the bushings look solid still.
it doesnt do it as often now. it feels like its just got way too much power pulling the front pass. tire to the right.

You sir are badly in need of an alignment if you are running a lift up front. the ball joint on the explorer are hard to check with out pulling them out of the application and moving them around manually, but at 130K i would almost gaurantee that you have quite a few that are bad, The rear tow-links are notorious for failing quickly. The two options are to start throwing parts at this thing, or to get an alignment done and see if that solves your issue, but knowing your running an unballanced lift makes me very curious.

i got new tires in june and i had them align them when they installed them...

Ill crawl under my truck tomorrow and check everything out again.

I appreciate your help a lot man!

was that after the quick lift up front? It could also be tires that are not equally worn.
if its not readily apparent whats broken, save yourself the head ache and take it to a professional lol.

yeah. i bought it 2 years ago with the quick lifts. i put the BTF coil spacers about a year ago. then i got new tires on it in june. they are barely worn. i maybe drove 3000 miles so far. i am thinking taking it somewhere might be my only option.lol

I hope its nothing to do with my transfer case or my diff. :/

Check your tires to make sure they are all the same size. I bought a set last year and had a pulling issue after they were installed. Turns out one of them was a 40 series (should have been a 45).

Check your rear springs and see if they are cracked. The coil springs are notorious for rusting through and cracking, and if so that may be why you pull to one side.
