2002 EX temperature Gauge pins all the way up

Hi Guy's, I have an 02 EX EB with a 4 liter motor, When I start the car the Temp. gauge goes all the way up, Even when the car is cold and it stays there as long as the car is running. It runs great and it is not overheating, I changed the Temp. sensor that is mounted next to the thermostat and it did not help. I could use some help with this one.

I'd say there's a break in the wire somewhere, shorting it.

Thanks Number 4, I checked the wiring and it looks good, this sensor is connected to the PCM, In 1st and 2nd GEN. there is 2 sensors, I for the PCM and ! for the gauge, Do you know if there is a second sensor somewere else for the gauge?

Temp. gauge pins to the top when starting the car.

FYI, I did get to the bottom of this problem Like a dog with a bone I pulled all 3 of the plugs from the PCM and reinserted them, To my surprise all is well now, Must have been a bad or a corroded connection. Hope this will help someone.
