I am a Newbie and hope to learn from those of you more mechanically inclined...
I have a 2002 expl sport with the 4.0L and have experienced several episodes where the engine turns over fine (new battery and starter is OK) but won't start. This may last several minutes or days and then all of sudden it will turnover and start right away. I have a Scan Guage and no codes were detected. No abnormal lights on dash either. When it was running, I took it to a AAA repair shop and they said it started fine for them over several days. When it happened again, I took it to a Ford dealer, but after two days they also said it was running fine and tested fine.
I doubt it is a fuel issue, but will change the filter and check fuel pump.
My question is: Is there a sensor that is notorious for this issue? Any suggestions other than waiting for another "no start" period?
