2002 Explorer 2 door Sport Mod Question

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport in mint condition and want to give it a bit of lift and larger tires to make it look nicer, plus may be a few minor extra's. Since it was new I have changed the oil regularily and have kept up with everything possible to extend it's life so it looks like new inside and out. My question is, do you guys/gals think it is worth sinking money into a vehicle that has 180,000 km on it? I know it isn't much considering, but I wonder how much life the engine has left. It runs perfect and has given me no problems at all since new so I am sure it won't be a waste, just want some input on the life of these vehicles from some experienced owners. I have not had an Exlorer before so don't know what to expect as it creeps into the 200,000's and beyond.

Also, I was wondering how much a lift of like 2 inches would cost doing it properly? I don't want to go too extreme, just make it look more trail ready with bigger tires and such, not that I am planning on going off road any time soon, but may be someday. Any pictures of lifts and odd things that can make it look better would give me some good idea's would be appreciated. I too will look around and see what I can find on here, but hearing from some of you on recommendations would be great. Thanks in advance!

Oh ya, one last question. How much potential does a 2002 explorer sport have for off roading? Thanks again!

The easiest way to get 2 inches of lift would be a torsion twist in the front and shackles and/or add a leafs in the rear.
The torsion twist is free but you need to get an alignment and you can get shackles for less than $20.
Thats what I did and 32 inch tires fit pretty well.
and about the offroad potential, you'd be surprised.
