- 2002 Explorer Limited
Hey everyone. I’m new to this forum but hoping someone may have some expertise to help me get my 2002 Explorer Limited back on the road.
4.6L - Coolant is mixing with oil making a milkshake (see pic on Pcv).
I definitely have a broken intake and blown intake gaskets but I’m pretty sure the intake can’t be the cause of this because top of block is sealed under intake (no access to oil ports).
For kicks, I poured some water into an orange funnel in the water port by cylinder 1 (see pic). Within SECONDS, it streamed out of the oil pan drain plug.
Some say head gasket but I’m leaning toward oil cooler. I can’t imagine that much water passing through a head gasket, pistons and rings that quickly.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
