I have a 2002 Explorer XLT v8. I have noticed that it seems like the 4x4 auto is stuck on recently. If I move the wheel left and right, I can feel/hear the gears in the front. I did recently replace 1 bad tire with a new one, but the problem was before the tire was replaced. When I press 4x4 hi, the light goes on, but I do not hear the clunk. When I press 4x4 low, it goes into low. But I press 4x4 auto, it seems to stay in 4x4 high.
Any thoughts? I did replace the 4x4 ECM about a year ago, after I replaced my battery...
