I know this issue has been discussed, because this is how I found the website(which is awesome by the way.) But incase anybody forgot my symptoms are: having a hard time going into 3rd gear(occasionally making a hard knock when it does), O/D light flashing, "service engine soon" light coming on and code P0745.
My question is what is the most cost effective way to go about this because I just got laid off and two days later this happens. I have done a lot of research and it seems people are either just replacing the solenoid or doing a tranny rebuild. Obviously I am hoping for just the solenoid replacement but if a tranny rebuild is necessary I would rather not waste my time and money replacing it.
Also, my cousin just graduated from an IT school and will be doing all the labor so that end will be relatively cheap.
Let me know what you guys think I should do or if you need anymore info about my car/situation. Any help is greatly appreciated.
