2002 Explorer EB shifts hard

My 2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer has a 4.6 liter V8 and it seems to shift somewhat hard. Anyone ever had this problem or know what to do.....Thanks.

try resetting your computer by disconnecting the battery for 15 miniutes also what color is the atf fluid

I sometimes have that problem with my V8 02 explorer also..... what exactly do you mean that it shifts hard??

I'm going to take mine to the dealer, cause i was looking at the list of TSB's for our car, and saw a report on it, so i'm sure they'll fix it by reprogramming the computer or something

heck i would leave it....you know people spend about 200 bucks to make their trannies do that...lol...

plus your tranny will last longer too since it wont slip as much during shifts.

I'd be happy if our 4.6 would shift hard! Don't do anything
