2002 Explorer Minor Issues

The LH Speakers, front & rear, do not work and the door "ajar" warning light is on and chimes sound as soon as key is inserted. Could these issues be connected in some way? Any advice will be well received.

they are in fact all connected. Same thing happened in my 97 ranger, minus the speaker issues - for now.

The wires have lost some insulation at the door hinge, and are faulting to ground. I bet the speakers work with the door open.

You just need to have the little boot taken off of the wire bundle and find the broken ones and repair as needed.
