I'll join your club and admit my display is doing the same thing. I've yet to find any information on the sensor location or possible fixes. My display is built into the electronic climate control (found in EB's and LTD's). Sorry I can't offer a resolution, but it's nice (for me) to know your not alone:p:

My '03 has a sensor mounted near the radiator just behind the grill on the driver's side. I've read somewhere that they are about $80 from the dealer.
You may just have a bad connection where it plugs in if the sensor always reads 120.

well this morning it was 138 degrees... actual was 20..

IIRC, mine has read over 120F at times with the Phoenix summer heat radiating from the pavement!

THAT RIGHT THERE IS THE REASON I HAD TO MOVE OUT OF FLORIDA... LAST NIGHT YES IT WAS IN THE TEENS...BOY DID IT FEEL NICE...

EVEN THOUGH MY TEMP WENT DOWN TO 98 DEGREES OUTSIDE..

all fixed $21.49 part. dealer part in behind the grill it was the OUTSIDE AMBIENT AIR SENSOR. And now my temp reads the right numbers,.

In reading a number of posts about the OAT sensor F57F-12A697-AA AND E4LY-15A022-AA obviously different model / years but haven't found either on various on line parts outlets.

mine is off 10 degrees. web searches said 'dealer only' with a price of $20 something. is ours is it in the center of the grill or in front of the airbox? i see two that might be it.
thanks

OAT sensor location

Facing the vehicle it's on the Right side and underneath a sheet metal shelf. If you look through the grill / Right side you van see it. It's a dingy brown color and the plug is black. If you flip the headlight assess flap up and look down you will see a WHITE connector and the OAT sensor is just underneath that connector.
