where to begin..... i have a 2002 Ford ExplorerXls, last week i noticed my car wouldnt start, assumed dead battery cause night befor temps with wind chill were around 0 to -10 degrees, i jumped the truck with my sisters car and it started up within a few seconds of jump, well once i turned the vehicle off after about 30-45 mins of being on i turned it off seeing if it charged, well it wouldnt start back up so i figured well id wait till i got some cash and replace the battery..
Following week a friend had a good battery with same cranking amps and all so i figured this will save me some cash so i decided to put it in, well like a dippy i put the battery in the wrong way..positive cable on neg on battery and neg on pos, so after a spark and a lil shock kinda gave it away lol well anyways i hooked them up the correct way and second i did the car started on its own.....without no keys in the ignition....i couldnt make sense of it so i unhooked all cables, truck ran for a few mins then shut off, hooked back up the terminals to battery and one the positive connection was on the truck started again on its own with no keys in the ignition.........im stumped and dont know what could be causeing this, if i could get some feedback from anyone who might know/had the same issue would be great
*** also note i dont think this has anything to do with this but ill put it up here, my window switch for my window isnt working so my driver side window stays down it wont go back up till i replace the switch, well we had some snow the otherday around 5 inches and some rain a few days befor that, i live in new england, i didnt get a chance to put some plastic up till after it snowed, just hoping the snow/water didnt make its way into anything electrical onlything it got on really was the master window switch***
also i accidently posted on modified explorer section by accident
