I forgot to arm my alarm over the weekend I think and someone stole my work laptop.
My friend who is a mechanic seems to think the newer Fords support auto door lock and alarm arming and thinks you can toggle it on and off.
I looked in the manual but don't see anything. Does anyone know how to do this? I know pressing the lock button on my key fob OR the lock button on the door does NOT lock my doors, something is broken, I can unlock my doors but I can't re-lock them. However, the alarm does arm if I hit the lock button.
You can then open the doors if you haven't manually locked the doors, but the alarm will go off.
I actually didn't mind this as I normally do not keep valuable in the car, I figure if someone does a door check on my car and sets off my alarm, they will run so I never bothered to fix the non locking issue as the alarm DOES work... Unless I forget to arm it anyway.
Auto arming would be awesome!
