2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac..... Please Help

BIGAPPLE... A body lift+TT/shackles will cost about about 400 tops. A suspension will be 1800. That's a big difference. And I thought with a tt you do get a little more ground clearance.

Hello, I know more about the sport tracs than I do the 3rd gen ex. I just got rid of my 2001 sport trac and miss it like crazy. I did to mine everything that you are talking about doing to yours. First of all you can fit 265/75/16 without any lift. The first thing I did to mine was buy full size Chevy keyways for the torsion bars, that will lift it a little in the front without even twisting them. And if you do twist you can get more height that your stock keyways. I bought 10 dollar shackle extensions for the rear. I got a good 2 inch lift for less than 100 dollars. After that I wanted the 285/75/16's so I bought a 3 inch body lift. I paid to have it installed, I spent around 500 bucks total. Well worth it. Fit the 285's easy. I also bought longer shocks for the front as they maxed out from the torsion twist. I'll try to dig out an old picture soon....

Well what about this... I buy 3" aftermarket torsion keys and 2" shackles and then fit 32" tires underneath. Would this work???

Yes that will work, although they don't measure torsion keys in inches, I don't think anyways. Just look for a full size GM torsion key. But that will fit 32's I guarantee. To install new keyways you will need 2 good heavy duty gear pullers and some jack stands. I also recommend checking out the sport trac forum, those guys are talking about torsion bars, shackles and lifts like crazy!!!! Good pics in there too!!!

Explorer Sport Trac Help!

Hey guys sorry to bug you all but does anybody know if I gave me 2002 sport trac a 2" Torsion twist up front and 1.5" shackles in the back, would this be able to fit 32" tires? with no rubbing

They will fit height-wise with no issue but whether or not they rub depends on the width... a 10.5" width will fit fine but a 12.5" width might require a little trimming of the splash guards.

Sport Trac Help! Read Please

CAN ANYONE PLEASE SEND ME A PICTURE OF BEFORE AND AFTER OF A SPORT TRAC WITH JUST A TT and shackles. I would just really like to see how much better it is going to look if I get a TT twist done with Warrior shackles. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

Opps, try it again, I edited it.

I got the shackles off ebay, nice quality pieces. I also did the add a leaf on the rear springs. The TT is all except for some trimming front and rear of the front wheel well.

The only "before" picture I have is not real close so you can't tell much.
Here is "after":

It is also on larger 265/75-16 tires.
