I have a 2002 X with the 8.8 rear diff. and IRS. The cover has the fill/check hole and the big inspection/drain hole. It was recently serviced and they didn't add the friction modifier to it, so I was going to do it myself. The truck was level and I took out the inspection plug and fluid came out for about 15-20 seconds. How is this possible? I just let it flow until it was level with the bottom of the hole and added the friction modifier. Did I do something wrong? How did they get so much fluid in it?
