Guys,
I've found this website IMMENSELY helpful over the years. I've owned a 91 explorer and now I have an 02 Sport w/ 80k. I've had about 2 years. I have a few issues with the sport and would like some opinions:
#1 Fuel Gauge works on and off half the time. Half the time its on, and the other half of the time its reads past full. It seems to be entirely random. I've tried adjusting the fuel cap. The best way to make it work is just to keep turning the key back and forth to power up/down until it reads correctly. THis usually works after a while, but lately it seems i can't get it to work properly.
#2 Autolamps just stopped working. I can still turn the lights on manually, but autolamp doesn't work. Doesn't work for the headlights OR the interior lights
#3 Wipers work on high/low only. Every once and a while I can get them to work on intermittent and park correctly, so it's not the motor. I've also switched the relays and that doesn't seem to do it. I thinks its the multifunction switch lever (blinker lever) that controls the wipers as well.
Thanks for the help.
