Ford Explorer 2002
2002 Explorer with only 38000 miles. Runs great. For past 6 months have had several times when I turn off the engine after driving for a while. Car will not re-start unless I let it sit for at least 45 minutes. Cranks well, but does not start. Always starts right up when cold. No lights on panel. Engine indicator temp is normal. Never stalls when driving. Battery less than 1 year old. Alternator appears to be working normally. Have been to Ford dealer - they kept it 2 days and can't find what is causing the problem. Anyone have any ideas? What can I test on the engine to find the problem when it happens again?

Thanks! Sterndale.

Welcome to the forum. I moved your thread to our Stock 2002-2005 subforum. Hopefully the right folks will see it and have an answer for you.

Tough to diagnose that's for sure. For starters I would check for spark while cranking, if you have spark, next thing to check is if you are getting full pressure to the fuel injectors.
