2002 XLS Side and Wheel Moldings

Hey, I'm rather new to this site as I just bought my first Explorer - 2002 XLS. Mine did not come with the moldings over the wheel wells or along the lower portion of the doors and I'd like to add on the moldings if possible.
I am curious if anyone knows: (1) whether the molding can be added onto the car in a bolt-on fashion; and if so(2) where is the best place to look to getting the molding (best junkyards for new wrecks).

Mine didn't. I'm guessing there's an XLS Appearance Package or something that the moldings come with. I have no side or wheel moldings, just the gray plastic f & r bumper covers.

I have the 20002 XLS, Sport Appearance package. I have yet to see one without them. I wonder if someone on the line was sleeping? j/k. I doubt you are going to find any of the 2002's in a junkyard. Would have to be a rare occurance. Parts at a local dealer is my choice and ask them how to do it yourself for install.

Thanks for the reply. I know there won't be many in junkyards yet, but I was hoping someone around here may have seen one or wrecked one and was parting it out.

I am hoping to avoid the dealer because of the outrageous prices charged for parts.

A great alternative to the dealer is the Ford Parts Network. Contact Torrie at FPN at torrie@fordpartsnetwork.com and ask him for prices. The prices usually a lot lower than what the dealer offers so check it out.
