Really up against it here..

Sounds of a loud knock coming from the drivers side exhaust manifold area. I check all exhaust and it looks/feels fine. Noise get notably louder under acceleration as if speeding up. no SES light however two codes, p1000 and b1201?? Seems to run normal and fine, however very loud. Was not brought on by anything influential.. Just drove it on a cold day, and before warming up and was very very loud, and has sense quieted down?? Seems to be warm/cold consistent. cant quite put my finger on where the noise is coming from. Mechanics stepthiscope seems to lean towards drivers exhaust manifold, but cant be heard in the oil pan aswell, traveling through the bellhousing

I just looked through the "Haynes manual" list of Diagnostic trouble codes and those code numbers you listed are not there. There is also no codes listed with a "B" in front of them. Every trouble code in the manual starts with a "P" followed by the number "0" zero and then the corresponding code numbers ranging from 0000 thru 0999. My manual covers years 2002-2010 Explorer and Mountaineer models.
