I have an '03 Eddie Bauer Explorer 4wd. when I bought it the cruise control was not working at all. After reading through posts on this forum, I decided to replace the switch on the master cylinder. Now it will turn on, but when I set a speed it will slowly continue to accelerate until I hit the brakes to shut it off. After searching on the Internet Machine I'm thinking it may be a vehicle speed sensor, a faulty cruise switch (steering wheel controls), or a problem with the computer.
I've searched, but haven't really found posts with a similar problem, so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas, or if you've seen something similar.
