I read today in Truckin' SUV magazine that the 2003 Expedition is going to have a FX4 option. I wonder and fear that Ford's attempt to actually make a stock vehicle off road capable is going to become another grocery getter, speed bump alternative.

That might be a little hard considering the new IRS. But all it probably means is it will come with skid plates, better shocks, maybe some AT tires and a sticker that says FX4. Fords attempt at "off-road".

boo hooo, I want 36s and lockers, screw them

Heh, throw some skid plates on there, you could lower it and still "scoot" over those big rocks!

See that is what I mean, FX4 was suppose to be a serious attempt at showing "Factory support" for a off road vehicle, now it is a sticker package.

ROTFLMAOAPAD

the FX4 ranger is the only vehicle ford makes that actually isnt a sticker package. its got 31" BFG AT KOs a thornsen limited slip and i believe beefed up skid plates. Im sure there is something im forgetting. But it doesnt have any of the lame crap like the FX4 f-150 which has crap like 17" rims.

You know what I like best about the Ranger FX4, The front tow hooks. I think they are bad a$$.

Screw what it looks like! you can actually do something with it. Thats alot more than anything else that bears the FX4 sticker.

Chances are good the package is gonna be about as useful as the one on the F150... and i fergot which one, but one truck mag said it was pretty much useless

Well, I think the Ranger one is actually pretty damn good.
