After over a year of being untouched after a bad engine deal left me sour, I finally tackled getting my original engine apart and back together. I have most everything done at this point, but I am still trying to figure out a few things I hope someone may have pics or diagrams of.

- Engine vacuum diagram, pics or list of colors and where they go?
- The starter harness has a ground line, I recall it being attached maybe to the p/s pump, but not totally sure
- There is a small bracket on the starter harness on the passenger side near the oil pan, I am forgetting where this attaches
- Does the starter harness go over or under the passenger side mount?

This has been a bear of a project with limited time, but I am finally getting to the finish line... maybe.

Thanks in advance.

There is a ground wire strap that goes to the p/s pump. As you know there are 3 bolts....1 short bolt & two long stud bolts. The ground strap you are referring to works like this. Once the two long stud bolts are torqued down there's a hose mounting plate that goes over the two stud bolts then on the stud bolt closest to the front of the vehicle the ground strap goes over that stud bolt...then the two nuts that hold the mounting plate and the ground strap are torqued over the two long stud bolts. Click HERE and it'll all make sense.

Thanks SyberTiger. Definitely helpful.

any Idea where that last vacuum line goes to near the airbox? its a red line. it stems off the throttle body.

Don't know....if you take a picture we'll get a better idea of what you are talking about.

You'll need to use the forum posting tool for "image" (to the right of the smiley face icon) for us to be able to see the picture in your post.

This photo may or may not be helpful. It's an old photo taken to provide instructions for the IAC so ignore the red lines and blue circle. I've got my engine partially stripped down so I am unable to get you the info you need right now. When I get everything back together I should be able to hunt down the info you need. In the mean time someone else could take some pics to help you out.

In the lower left had corner you can see the red vacuum line.

Syber, thank you, yes that's the line that broke on me. I've actually been tempted to "shop" for a used explorer just to see under the hood. At least I know I'm not losing my mind lol... appreciate it. Vacuum diagram doesn't show it.

If you look just to the lower left of the blue circle I think you can see the red vacuum line going towards the throttle body. Also about halfway down to the lower left corner I think you can see the red vacuum line just where it goes under one of the coolant hoses.

I'm kind of surprised no one on here hasn't stepped in to take a few pics for you.

My engine looks like this right now....

While I was in my engine today installing new fuel injector connectors I took a look at the red vacuum line. The red and the green lines both route over to the EVAP purge canister purge solenoid which is located on a bracket mounted just above the belt tensioner. Right now, my solenoid plus the bracket is unbolted and hanging out of the way..
