2003 Explorer. 4 wheel drive does not engage.

I have a 2003 XLT with 128,000 miles. The 4X4 High dash light has been coming on and off for about a month. Now the 4 wheel drive will not engange at all when I hit the button. Could it be the 4X4 Control Module or something more serious?

G'day and welcome to the forum. Do a search for "4x4 high flashing" in the search bar at the top of the page and that should give you all the info you need.
