2003 Remote entry system

My remote entry fob has stopped working. I changed the battery and it had no effect. The remote entry system worked when I got out of the car but did not function when I returned 20 minuted later. Since the system worked properly without any malfunctions my thinking there may be a fuse involved. I can't locate any reference to the proper fuse in the owners manual. Do you have any suggestions. Thank You

Once you replace the battery I believe you might have to reprogram the remote. It's easy to do, just search and you'll find a couple threads.

I've had several remotes die on me - replaced them with new ones.
I just replaced the batteries in my Freestyle/Explorer and they didn't need to be reprogrammed. I'd buy a new remote - you can get them for cheap on Amazon/Ebay......
