2003 SOHC konks out on 1st start 1600 miles

Im having trouble with my x. in the morning (warm and cold days) after starting put it in reverse and konks out even when ginving it gas. after that it starts up and runs fine. any help?

Do you still have a warrenty on it?

Could be IAC, Fuel Pump, or something along those lines. Try letting it sit for 5 seconds when you first turn the key you know to the Accessory part. That allows the fuel pump to run for a second then crank it. I would just take it to the dealer anyway to have it fixed. There is no reason to have a brand new vehicle and have any problems.

get it into the shop ASAP. i heard of a problem with the fuel pump on the 2003 OHC's. You shouldnt have problems with a brand new vehicle. it sounds like the fuel pump, turn the key forward just before the engine fires stop your key turn. you should hear a sound almost like a pump whining then it will stop. then fire it up and take it to dealer tell them of your problem.

Is that what that loud humming noice is when i turn the key to acc?(the fuel pump) I have wondered what the heck that was
