2003 Sport Trac Transmission Question

I have a 2003 Sport Trac and whenever I go to put the truck in "Drive" the column reads that it is in "Neutral". The Transmission was replaced in Oct of 2008. Any ideas if it is a Transmission problem or column problem?

Sounds like you broke your PRNDL. I did that twice on my Ranger trying to jump in and take off to avoid getting hit by oncoming traffic. Pulled the shifter down too hard and fast and it would say I was in neutral while driving. Does the truck still drive fine when in "Neutral"? If so, you should be able to remove a couple of dash pieces and find the cable that makes the PRNDL read correctly. There's a threaded plastic piece with a plastic "nut" on it surrounded by another (probaby different color) plastic piece that is most likely broken and mounted so that it can't move. A little well placed super glue has held mine for years now. I'm sure that piece alone would be next to impossible to find.
