2004 4.6l V8 speed limiter

My ‘04 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition 4.6l V8 has a top speed limited to 108mph. How is this limiter turned off? An ECU flash?

Better question is why do you want to go faster than 108 in a top heavy suv that’ll flip at 50 lol. But to answer your question if you want to anyways an sct4 should be able to turn it off and get you going. (I think brenspeed still does tunes for our gen) I mean these things I guarantee could hit atleast 120 but that’s not safe at all by any means, there just shifting into 4th gear like 90 with the 3.55s Stay safe out there
