Hey all, I have a 2004 Explorer 4.0 rwd. Was driving on the highway and the engine started to buck and then quit. (This is the second time I have had this problem, but the first time the engine went into limp home mode. After reseting the computer it ran great until now). Had it towed home. The only codes stored were P0606 and P2106. I disconnected the battery and left it overnight, the next morning after reconnecting the battery it started and make it about a block then died. Now the engine turns over but will not start. I have searched the forum and tested the coil pack and have changed the fuel filter to no avail. It has around 54000 miles and I was hit in the rear about 3 weeks ago with not much damage. I replaced the rear bumper and bumper cover. The cable that holds the spare tire was sheared off and I have not replaced that yet. (not sure if that would have any effect on the engine) I am at wits end now and do not want to have it towed to a dealer. Thanks in advance for any help.
