I have a new actuator motor but the shaft will not turn when I plug it in. This is the second one from the dealer. I plug it in to test it and the shaft will not turn. I'm figuring I must have pulled something loose so I plugged the old one back in and it turns just fine. I bought a new actuator motor from an auto parts store but it had the wrong shaft I pluged it in and the shaft turns on it.

Is there something I'm supposed to do with the new motor before I plug it in? This is the second one from the dealer. Old one turns, wrong one turns,
but the exact part does not. Help please!

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 2002-2005 section. Double check the part numbers, and test the new part with a multimeter to make sure that it's not defective. New parts could sometimes be defective since they are mass produced.

Something seems amiss, as these are totally plug and play as you apearr to expect them to be (you are correct).

In other words, there is no pre-use calibration or setup required, you just plug them in install them and go down the road.

Not sure why you are having this problem.

Thinks for the quick response. It took me awhile but I finally figured out the motor the dealer gave me was for the Dual Automatic Control and I have the manual. The part looks exactly the same on the outside but different on the inside.

So now I have the motor in, turned it on cold before I put the shaft in and still no heat. The door does not seem to be broken, it has resistance and I can hear the change in air flow. Still no heat. Any ideas?
