2004 explorer limp mode

my father inlaw replaced the battery in my explorer while i was out of town for my wife now it it is in limp home mode how can i fix it

Welcome to this forum! How do you know that it's in limp mode? Are you getting hard shifts with a flashing overdrive light?

have no throttle control wolnt rev just idle

It sounds like a problem with the throttle by wire system.
