2004 explorer, new alt, wont start.

i recently replaced my alternator in my 04 explorer and it wont start, it doesnt crank at all, i tried both keys, i jumped the starter with cables and it cranked but wouldnt start. no idea what to do and cant afford to have it looked at. anyone have any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Would it crank before you replaced the alternator? Did you disconnect the battery when you did the replacement? You might have blown an ignition fuse. Look in your owner's manual at your fuses. There is a fuse box in the engine compartment as well as under the driver's side dash. If you don't have the diagram, let me know and I can look it up for you. I think there are two ignition fuses.
