Hey all, I'm new to the forum and not too knowledgeable when it comes to cars, engines, and whatnot. Lately my "check gauge" light has been coming on and off while I'm driving and I've noticed the truck hasn't had as much acceleration as it should. If I'm driving for a while and make a stop, when I start it up again it feels like it's struggling to stay on. While on the highway tonight I noticed the engine smoking, my "check engine" light came on as well as my "check gauge", and the temp gauge was high. I'm assuming my truck overheated. Sounds like I may need some coolant, but again I'm not an expert. Anyone else have this issue? Any advice on the cause? Is this something I can fix on my own? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

You've got a very serious cooling issue. Don't run the engine until it's checked. GL
