The plastic strip about a foot high that goes across the back door the width of the truck is well known for cracking. I have tried to find a YouTube video on making an invisible repair. I have not found one yet. Anyone out there find one? Thanks,

No repairs can be made to the panel, it needs to be completely replace. Ford has a TSB on this issue -- TSB 05-24-2

Thanks for the TSB on that. I found it on google and it appears to be something that would have to be taken in to the shop. Has anyone had this done and could tell me the charges for it? Thanks,

It's about $700 and will just happen again.
It sticks to the glass which flexes with heat eventually splitting the plastic.
Also, if you pay attention on days where the temperature is different, you'll probably find that on some days the crack closes and is almost invisible. So, if you put anything in it when it's open, it'll probably cause it to pop off when it tries to close. I've seen a few where a portion was gone entirely.

If you want you can replace the panel yourself. Is not that hard to do if you follow the TSB. The part number of the new panel is 1L2Z-78402A30-CAPTM and can be found online for around $100 - $150 online. If your X is black you can easily paint it yourself, if not a local shop shouldn't charge too much to color match.
Here is a link to a video of removal / replacement of the panel

Thanks for the youtube. With my luck, I would do the best job I ever have and it would break again in a month. == Just a side note, in the last six months I have been hit in the rear twice at a stop light. No much damage on my part but both times at different shops I told them the plastic was part of the damage, but no dice on fixing it. They must get a lot of those in.
