2002 Explorer XLT 4x4
First off i would like to say HI, and i love this site I've always been a creeper of it for many issues ive had but never signed up.

I currently have a 2002 explorer xlt 4d v6. My question is I have a fog light out on the drivers side the glass/and plastic houseing it all broken, large rock on a grid road.

Ive been looking on various sites to buy a new whole complete drivers factory fog set up, but im having hard time finding one online.some sites that ive found them on look kind of sketchy so i passed, and since this is first time buying parts online looking for some help.

Also im looking for on my rear passenger doors the weather stripping? ( the rubber that goes around the whole body of the door NOt on the door itself but on the vehicle part) it seems to have shrunk over the years and since i live in canada and my kid sits in the car seat back there, its really drafty on the highway on really cold days.PLUs alot of tire noise seeks through there alwell. Im not even sure what the actuall term for this weather stripping is???

Sry if im confusing the hell out of anyone reading this.

So in all for a canadian here if you guys have any sites where i might purchase these items that you would recommend id be thankful.

On the fog light housing, try a junk yard/bone yard for a good condition, used one. Should save you some money rather than buying new, factory ones for an 11 year old vehicle.
On the weather stripping, you named it correctly, it's weather stripping. Same thing, try a junk yard. Congrats on your first post! :)

yea that's a good idea, i didn't like the idea of spending 100$ or more on that, did a little checking around found a place a recycling place where you get to take the part of yourself. Gonna go check it out tomorrow they said they had 2 on the lot but there not sure whats left of them

btw thanks also for the weather stripping i just thought it would have had a diff name

hope theres some of the vehicle left, there's a few others things i might as-well pick up to if its in decent shape.

FYI on the weather stripping, they tend to loosen up and come off at times when you bump into them and you just have to re-fit them around the body edge they sit on. They sometimes pop off just opening a door, especially in cold weather where some water drops might have froze on to them and they pull off as the door opens. They are not glued to the vehicle from the factory, just slip on snuggly. If one of your old ones still on the vehicle seems loose, you can try putting a bead of clear silicone in the groove of the weather stripping and pressing it into place on the body of the vehicle to hold it there for good. Once in place, just let the silicone harden over night and you'll be good to go in the morning. Just a tip. Good luck at the U-Parts-Pull place.
