Can the outside temperature indicator be reset on my 04 Sport Trac? The temp is off + or - 50 degrees. I can't seem to find anything about this in my owners manual.

Did you accidentally set it to Celcius?

There's a mode button up there.

1st mode is Farenheit.
2nd mode is Celcius.
3rd mode is off.

The compass can be calibrated, the temperature display cannot. If you haven't accidentally set it to Celsius you'll have to replace the sensor on the radiator support.

If you want the diagnostic process just PM me your email address.

E-mail sent.

Outside Temp control reset

Where is the mode button? Mine is doing the same thing its off by 50 or so degrees. The compass seems fine though.

Mine is OFF completely. I don't know if it's a sensor or the light itself. I opened that area once, but I thought it was an LCD screen. Maybe it burned out.

likely the resistor burned up. There is a project somewhere that shows how to repair. It is pretty easy to fix. I just took my resistor out.
