I have a 2004 Ford Explorer, and this AM it wouldn't start. It has about 92k miles on it. The lights all seem to be strong and bright. I don't believe it's the battery. In fact, when I go to crank it i just get a single "clunk." Any suggestions?

I'm over due on the oil change but there is still plenty of oil even thought it's dirty and thin. I don't think the engine is frozen up. Does this sound like a possible starter?

Thanks

Check the battery first, alot of parts stores like Pep Boys will test it for free. If the battery is ok then it's probably the starter.
