I know this is an old thread but I am having this problem now since I put on my lift. Will the brown wire mod correct this?

Bump

Hi, I am having an issue with the clunking sound in my front end when I turn to the right or the left. It never did this until today when i fixed the 4wd by adding the ground. I don't need 4wd right now but I would like to keep it and solve the clunking sound. Any help would be very appreciated.

I see how old this thread is, but no one really answered it. I am having the same problem on my 2002 Mercury Mountaineer. It was really bad until I replaced the “A” arms on the front end. It helped immensely, but did not eliminate the sound entirely. I believe I have loose sub frame bolts but couldn’t get to all of them. Anyone have additional information on this subject?
