2004 Mercury Mountaineer. Cracked plastic shroud over the Mercury emblem.

Hello there, Johnny U here in san Antonio, TX. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a vertical crack on the rear window hatch of Mountaineer and/or Explorer. I own a 2004 Mountaineer, and about a year ago noticed a crack in the lower plastic part of the rear window. The crack runs directly over the Mercury logo/emblem in the center of the window hatch. I have since noticed SIX (6) other Mountaineers locally with the same problem/crack. Anyone aware of any recall or repair (from Mercury) for this issue???

Might run a quick search, it's a very common problem with lots of threads about it. There is an effort to get it to a class-action as well...
