@1coolguyAnyone have an idea of how I can troubleshoot this and hopefully fix it?
@Fordman999It's more than likely the "brake pressure switch" , 9 times out of 10 that is the problem. Really easy to replace just need a wrench to spin it off. It's in your engine compartment near the oil dipstick.
When I get back tomorrow I will check the fuses and let you know. Thank you@1coolguy
Check for a blown fuse first. Owner's Manual lists fuses and their use. There will likely be at least two, one in the "Battery Junction Box", under the hood, behind the battery, and another in the "Cab Fusebox", left of the steering column. Meanwhile, I'll fetch my wiring diagrams from the shop. You are saying the Cruiose Control button does not turn on C.C.? imp
Thanks - I will check the fuses tomorrow then go the the BPS if the fuses are good. Just checked the fuses - all are ok. I watched a Youtube and it said it may well be the electrical part that screws into the master cylinder - I don't recall the name. Does that agree with what you know?@1coolguy
Turns out, S.C. is pretty complicated nowadays. Check fuse 15, 16, 25, & 45 under hood; 15 under dashboard.
Yeah the brake pressure switch sits atop the master cylinder. You unscrew it and remove the two wires on the harness. That is usually the culprit costs around $20 I can almost guarantee it will fix your problem.Just checked the fuses - all are ok. It's also a FIRE HAZARD safety recall. Happened to a few on this forum while parked with the engine off. Call dealer with your VIN.

Just received the brake pressure switch. When I remove the old one, do I just unscrew it or do I need to do anything else before, like will brake fluid escape, etc? It says "Is SCDS leaking? No? then Install Universal Fused Jumper Harness."^ Very little but install quickly and have a rag handy. Read link below:

What is a Universal Fused Jumper Harness?
I replaced the Brake Pressure Switch just now, drove on the freeway and the cruise control did not come on. So what should be the next step I take to fix this? Thank you.
