2004 Transmission Range Sensor Location

Can anyone help me out on this one? I got the dreaded CEL and pulled a P0708 code while on vacation in the mountains. Can I solve my problem with a new range sensor and a trans fluid and filter change most likely? Can you give me the location of the sensor? I know I can probably find it at the shift assembly on the trans but want to be sure. Thanks for any help.

That's where it is, on the linkage.

LH side of lower portion of transmission, if it was hit by any debris, possibly damaged, or moved out of proper alignment, that could be the problem. imp
