2005 Explorer fuel filter disconnect size

Anybody know what size fuel filter disconnect is required on a 2005 explorer 4.0L? It seems there is not enough lift in the 3/8 or 5/16. Im have an heck of a time with this.

I just went and bought a metal disconnect tool and it did the trick. The plastic ones are junk!
