Hi I am new to the forum (somewhat) I have read everything under the sun for the last month trying to figure out what is wrong with my truck and still found no fix. So I am going to try and start at the beginning and see if anyone has any ideas.
Bought the truck about 4 mos ago and few days later noticed a slight hesitation when i gave it gas but no jerking. Had a friend who has a code scanner plug it in and pull codes. He told me I might have a bad injector and that it wasnt a huge deal but to baby it and he would fix it for me in a few days. Trouble was I have no other way to work so not driving it wasnt an option. More time goes on and hes backed up at work so cant get to it which brings me to about 2 mos ago, my husband goes to the store and comes out truck wont start and test mode comes up on my cluster. He calls his dad who comes and jumps it problem goes away for about 2 weeks. I go to leave for work dead again. Got one of those jumper box things you plug in you house and jumped it drove fine. Few days later the guy who was supposed to fix the injector comes by and finds out that the alternator is bad and needs to be changed asap. So for the next few days occasionally it needs to be jumped but sometimes starts right up.
Heres where the real trouble starts... My day off i had a few errands to run so i go out and starts right up, Im driving down the road go over a hill and get to the light at the bottom of the hill and stop. Light turns green I go to give it gas and NOTHING! Has slight acceleration but barely makes it to 20mph. I get to the nearest parking lot and shut it off. I wait about an hr and go back out to start it and its fine for a few min. When i give it gas I hear a high pitched squeal similar to the noise a belt would make and there is little to no acceleration. I get back over the hill barely making it and get to another stop light and it dies. I had to push it to a safe place to leave it and walk home. Called the guy who was GOING TO work on it and he says to try n get it home and he will come change the alternator the next day. So I go back and it takes about an hr to get it home due to the squeal and no acceleration. The next day he comes and puts the new alternator on and leaves. I wasnt home at the time so when i got home and started it the noise was still there and still no change in acceleration. I called another mechanic i know and he came out and said sounds like it might be a dirty throttle body. He takes it apart and cleans it. No change. Cleans the MAF no change. Gets new TPS no change. After all the sensors being changed the engine failsafe mode came on and wouldnt go away so he disconnected the negative cable and it was still there he did the reset procedure i found of here to clear the pcm and replaced the EGR failsafe mode is gone but NO CHANGE! He basically said he thought he was in over his head due to the electronic everything on this truck so he wasnt sure he was going to be able to fix it. Since the EGR was changed my check Advance trac light is now on and there are no codes coming up. I had someone else go over the work he did everything is fine and I even rechecked the sensors so I am assuming it is something else. If anyone has any ideas please help me I have no idea where to look next! :'(

Forgot to mention the only codes I was able to get after it first broke down were for low voltage and power interuption. P9318 and P9352 also a D900 but couldnt fine and info on the D900.

You could perform a voltage drop test to see if your battery cables are corroded. Either one could cause an issue starting/charging/running. Also, if the alternator was replaced and the cables are fine you may have a "dead" battery if it wasn't remotely charged. Your alternator isn't designed to charge a discharged battery, only to maintain it. Throwing parts at a car is old school. For the price of the parts, you could of had a shop technician pin point the issue.
At some point, it's good to have a true specialist take a look. Save time and money in the long run.
I'm lost on the noise you describe. You may have a tranny problem but some electronic issues may lead to "tranny" like problems.
