2005 Explorer was running all day went out later, nothing

Tim here in Cinci own 2 Explorers 2003 Eddie Bauer and 2005 XLT.

yesterday in 2005, truck was running fine all day, when out later to start it, nothing. No crank nothing. Battery fine no issues. What I did notice was the steering wheel was also not locked without key in ignition. I also believe I heard a noticeable click the first time I tried to start it. Any suggestions,

Are the dash lights coming on? Will the headlights come on bright?

99% sure you're starter is gone! My 03 did almost the exact same thing a few months back.

Have someone hold the key in the start position while you tap the starter with a hammer. Sometimes it's just a stuck solenoid.

Steering wheel not locked? Could be ignition related..dumb question is it all the way in park? Maybe try in neutral could be neutral safety switch.
