Hey everyone I just got my first Explorer recently to fix up. I have had quite a few things that I have fixed up already but still have a few issues. It is a 4x4 and this weekend when the roads were pretty snowy/icy for a few days the advance trac and abs lights were coming on after running over bumpy patches. I have read that it may be an abs sensor? Anyone know how to tell which one it is or have some advice on fixing it? Also the tire pressure sensor light comes on but the tires are all up to pressure.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Thanks....Is getting the codes read something that Auto Zone can do for free? Just bought the vehicle and trying to spend the least amount possible!

Ok. If I take it to a place like Midas, will they be able to read the codes if the abs light is not on at the time? It comes and goes.

if you feel that something is malfunctioning take it to your shop asap. your safety comes first.

if its all working but the lights are simply annoying you, then try the free autozone approach first.

tascaparts.com has the ABS sensors for $32 each plus shipping.
