2005 mercury mountaineer 4.0 sohc rough idle

I have a 05 mounty and i have a rough idle when i start it and it feels like its about to stall when it starts up i just put new plugs and wires on it yesterday to see if the would help the problem but its still doing the same thing any suggestions to make this problem stop 4.0 sohc v6

Clean your throttle body. My wife's '04 was doing the same thing. Throttle body did not look overly dirty until I cleaned it and the rag was pretty black.

Thanks i cleaned it really good and cleaned the air filter out thoroughly and it doesn't do it anymore thanks
